Description

The rear brake system on the 80 series is easily affected negatively when lifting over 2″. Many adjust it properly, but some just leave it alone. The Dobinsons brake adjuster sets brake bias back to where it’s supposed to be, based on the amount of lift (comes with instructions on setting it right), and should be installed on any lift over 2″.

BA45-005 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

LSPV means Load Sensing Proportioning Valve, and so when weight is added to the back of the vehicle, the LSPV adjusts how much brake pressure is used by the rear brakes. When weight is removed from the back end, it takes brake pressure away from the back. When you lift the vehicle, this takes away rear brake pressure, so your rear brakes aren’t properly working anymore and not adding the right amount of force. Your front brakes will wear out really fast in this condition, so adding the Dobinsons LSPV adjuster bracket, you’ll set it straight.
