Rusty’s Jeep JL JT Adjustable Front Lower Arms are Adjustable Control Arms and are fabricated from thick 2″ DOM tubing and are shaped to maximize flex as well as tire and wheel clearance. 1.25″ x 12 threads are used in the arms and on our forged ends for strength and easy adjustability. Our Forged Flex Ends offer greater suspension flex, adjustable preload settings, and are greaseable for long life. The Forged Ends are secured with the supplied jam nuts and are tested to withstand over 100,000 psi! These arms also include Factory OEM-quality bushings installed at the axle end, and the arms themselves come powder coated in a glossy black finish.

NOTE: The Rusty’s JL JT Adjustable Front Lower Arms threaded end goes towards the frame end, and the curved section of the arm faces towards the frame, to maximize tire clearance when turning.  This angled position provides additional tire scrub radius clearance, which is extremely important on 35″ or 37″ tires, as they will hit the stock arms too easily, damaging your tires and potentially damaging other parts as well.
Instructions for use: Set the initial length of the Rusty’s Adjustable Front Lower Arms to the same as factory arms, then add 1/2″ or so to the overall length.  Install, then check the caster angle, then add at 1/4″ increments until your caster angle is set properly.  Adding too much length could lead to driveline vibrations.  It’s recommended to use blue Loctite under each of the nuts once they are in their final adjusted position to keep them in place.  Excessive flexing without the front sway bar connected can loosen them up otherwise.
Rusty’s heavy duty front control arms are the some of the most affordable on the market, while adding necessary strength to the front end.  The last thing you want when you offroad a lot is a bent arm, as this affects your alignment and your vehicle will not track straight down the road.  With 5mm thick wall tubing, you can’t go wrong with a set of these.

The Rusty’s Forged Flex Ends were designed and manufactured with quality, reliability, and strength as our first priority.

The Forged Flex Ends feature 1.25″ x 12 threads, locking jam nut, Delrin bearing races, and a chromed spherical bearing. These outer casing of the forged ends offers over 100,000 psi of strength. No wimpy snap rings here, Rusty’s was the first to design and manufacture an end without snap rings; we use only threaded adjustable retainers that are CNC machined for a perfect fit. The adjustable spanner nut allows you to dial in the perfect amount of pre-load. To adjust the pre-load, simply tighten the spanner nut to the desired pressure, line up the groove in the preload nut with the set screw, and then tighten the set screw.

The Delrin races provide high strength and a superior fit while being much more durable than other poly style races. The plated Chrome Moly (short for Chromium Molybdenum) spherical bearing offers long life, high strength, and adds to the end assembly’s great flex. All rod ends come with grease fittings. Be sure to grease the joints regularly for a lifetime of quiet, reliable service.

Since all moving parts wear, Rusty’s offers inexpensive rebuild kits for all the moving parts of the joint.
