Description
Rusty’s Off-Road Products may not have been the first company to offer a skid plate option for the new JL Wrangler models because we wanted to make sure that we build the best product possible. With the Rusty’s JL Wrangler 3.6L Skid Plates, we believe that our product provides easy installation, superior strength, and protection coverage at an affordable price. The Rusty’s JL Wrangler 3.6L Complete Skid Package includes the following skids: Engine, Transfer Case, Fuel Tank, and Resonator Skids, all available separately. What is also unique about our complete skid package is that you can purchase any of the three main skid plates and build the system as your budget allows. The resonator skid is the only skid can only be used in combination with our transfer case skid. The engine skid is capped for full protection and has a removable access panel to allow for easy access to change the oil when needed. Our fuel tank skid replaces the factory skid plate and is designed so that it is completely flat and provides higher clearance. We have also incorporated some extra protection for the side of the fuel tank by bringing the edge of the skid up about 6 inches to prevent a rock or stump from damaging the side of the fuel tank or in the event that you sling a driveshaft.
Note: Production dates can vary for certain models, we strongly recommend verifying the passenger side motor mounts on your vehicle. This ensures you receive the correct components for a proper fit.

Rusty’s Off-Road is a leader in the 4X4 industry with our innovative line of Jeep specific products. Our in-house manufacturing and R & D keeps our products on the cutting edge. With our in house manufacturing we are able to control cost and sell retail at wholesale cost without sacrificing quality.
We have over 45 years of hands on experience in the off-road vehicle industry giving us the knowledge that few of our competitors have. Rusty’s has grown from a small business serving a regional market to a worldwide company. We have grown from a small 2 bay shop to an ever growing 65,000 square foot building. Yes, we too started off with torches and big hammers but today it’s high-tech measuring devises, precision machining centers, lasers, robots and a group of very dedicated employees to produce what we think are the very best in off road products.
We proudly back our products as ‘Trail Tested Tough.’ Each of our parts go through extensive prototype testing on the trails, allowing us to improve and strengthen our designs so we release only the highest quality products. Moab, Rubicon, Tellico, Wind Rock, and Jeep Jamboree events around the country have been regular stomping grounds for the Rusty’s Off Road Testing Crew over the years. Many parts have been run and tested in some of the most grueling off road races and rallies and with this abuse and testing you can be assured you will be getting the very best part built.
AROUND RUSTY’S OFF-ROAD
Growing from that 2 bay shop to this over 65,000 you think there is no way we will run out of room, well just as soon as we finished our latest construction, we quickly found out how quickly they will fill up. We have worked hard to keep things organized and invested hours in setting up the shipping dept to get parts shipped as fast as we can.

We’re proud to say that we use state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture all of our products right here in the USA. We are constantly investing in new and upgraded equipment that allows us to build better products more efficiently and with a greater degree of accuracy than ever before. Rusty’s has invested in multiple new laser machines, multiple CNC machines, a pair of CNC press breaks, welding robots and much more in order to keep pace with our sales growth and new products production. In-house manufacturing allows us to maintain a level of quality control that could never be matched when outsourcing production.
