Apache Offroad Rear KDSS Delete – Sway Bar Conversion Brackets

Suits 4th and 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner 2003-2009, and Lexus GX470 and GX460 2003-2023
The Apache Offroad KDSS Delete will allow you to remove either KDSS from your existing vehicle and/or use a KDSS 8.2″ Axle when swapping to a non-KDSS vehicle
This kit will allow you to adapt a normal sway bar to your vehicle, removing the KDSS system
Here’s the breakdown: If you have a failing KDSS system or just want to remove it, you buy these brackets and weld them onto the rear frame and axle housing, then source an OEM sway bar and necessary links and hardware to bolt a regular non-hydraulic sway bar into place, simplifying your suspension
Photo shows a regular sway bar link in place (not included)
Ideal for people going with proper long travel on the rear that is limited by KDSS
This bracket kit may also be used to replace the factory mounts if you smash your factory mount on the GX470, FJ, or 4Runner within those year ranges
Welding / Grinding / Fabrication Skills REQUIRED.
Includes 2x ARF-01 (sway bar to frame bracket) and 2x AR-01 (sway bar axle mount bracket)
The upper bracket mounts off the frame, where the top of the sway bar link goes through, and the lower brackets weld on to the axle housing for the sway bar mounts to bolt onto with 2 bolts per side
Product ships Raw- Will need to be painted after it has been welded on
Requires extra parts, as all detailed down below, either from the dealership or a junkyard

Side Note- We would prefer people switch to Polyurethane sway bar bushings as they do not bind like the OEM Rubber bushings do, given the rubber bushings work, it is possible to snap the sway bar when they bind (somewhat rare, but possible.)

Front Conversion:

Converting the Front is pretty straight forward. Thankfully, Toyota used the non KDSS spindles, on the KDSS trucks, so the sway bar mount hole already exists in the spindle. On the underside of the front frame portion, where the static sway bar would mount- one holes exists, one needs to be drilled and thus you will need to use a nutsert (2 needed, one for each side) to thread that hole. You will otherwise need to source the following front parts:
