Dobinsons 80 Series Rear Bump Stop Extensions Kit is a set of solid steel spacers for the rear of a Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series that can space down the outer and inner bump stops by 1″ (25mm) or 2″ (50mm) when stacked together. This is very important when running longer shocks for 3″ or more of lift where the shocks are longer at full compression than standard shocks. If you don’t space down the bump stops so that they engage before the shock bottoms out, then you risk blowing out the shocks. Dobinsons make a huge range of extended length shocks to suit 4″ and 6″ lift heights or long travel, and those all require bump stop extensions or extended bump stops so that the shocks don’t bottom out. This kit was made stackable so that the same kit can work for anyone without having to go searching for additional bits and pieces to get the correct bump stop gap.
Another feature of 80 Series Rear Bump Stop Extensions and extending the bump stops is to restrict the amount of up travel the tires can go into the fenders, and possibly get cut up. If you’re running 35″ or larger diameter tires, you may need to restrict the up travel of the suspension so that the tires don’t hit certain parts of the body or frame at full articulation.

- Unlike OEM bump stops, Active Off-Road Bumpstops are made from natural rubber. Just like our Timbren SES line, Active Off-Road Bumpstops carry a lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee.
