Description
This 4Runner swaybar drop bracket kit includes 2 machined aluminum spacers and necessary hardware to space down the stock front sway bar on 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner models, 2010+ Toyota FJ Cruiser, and 2010-2023 Lexus GX460, putting it back to a proper working angle, and allowing each wheel to once again move more freely. These are a good idea to add when a vehicle is lifted 2″ or more to correct the sway bar angle. At 3″ or more, these should most definitely be added.
Not for use on vehicles with KDSS.
Instructions are simple on this 4Runner Swaybar Drop Bracket Kit. Undo the stock sway bar mounts where it attaches to the frame. Place the 4Runner Swaybar drop spacer between the sway bar mount and the frame, and reattach the sway bar with the new supplied longer hardware, and you’re done.
Some people think this is done to keep the sway bar from contacting the strut assembly. That is not the case with all Dobinsons front struts including twin tube, IMS, and MRR or MRA strut assemblies. This is simply to reposition the swaybar back to a better working angle. A high angle sway bar can actually hold up the front suspension and restrict the movement of one side or the other due to the higher working angle. This Tacoma Drop Bracket Kit helps alleviate that issue.
