Dobinsons WA59-545K Details

Dobinsons WA59-545K are adjustable rear upper control arms, to be used on any vehicle lifted or not, up to 7″ of lift. This Dobinsons WA59-545K kit comes with both side upper arms and also includes Rubber bushings pressed into the arms, as they are maintenance and noise-free. Rubber bushings allow for greater flex (travel). These Dobinsons WA59-545K adjustable arms will allow you to properly set your rear pinion angle due to adding a lift, while also adding strength over the stock arms. Suitable also for long travel rear suspension setups.

NOTE: The threaded end goes towards the frame end.

Instructions for use: Set the initial length to the same as factory arms, then check your pinion angle, then adjust at 1/2″ increments until your pinion angle is set properly. Adding too much length could lead to driveline vibrations. Torque only while the full vehicle weight is on the axles, on the ground.

The stock upper control arms on these vehicles are definitely suitable for the way the vehicle came from the factory, but now that was over 20 years ago and by now the bushings could be shot, the arms could be rusty, and if you’ve lifted your vehicle, your rear pinion angle may be off. Also your rear alignment could also be off and there is no way to adjust the rear end alignment without adding adjustable upper and lower trailing arms. Dobinsons WA59-545K will fix the upper arms and you can also buy the Dobinsons WA59-556K lower trailing arms to correct the lower arm position as well as increase the strength since the wall thickness of the stock arms is just not suitable for heavy offroading or hitting rocks, tree stumps, roots, or other objects while out on the trail. You can’t go wrong with adding this simple upgrade to your 80 series.
