So why would you upgrade your rear brake lines?  The number one reason would be that you’ve added a new suspension lift kit and your stock brake lines aren’t long enough to handle the extra down travel of the new rear shocks you’re putting on.  You definitely do not want to overextend your stock rubber brake lines, as a failure of those would cause you to lose all brakes.  The next reason would be if your vehicle is now older and the stock brake lines have experienced so many miles and so much pressure, they’re expanding when the brakes are pressed instead of just passing the pressure through them.  The new stainless braided brake lines will hold that pressure in and give you a much better pedal feel.  And the last reason would be that you’re upgrading your brake system to something supreme like Powerbrake Brake Systems or something similar and you really should run performance brake lines with those high performance pad, rotor and caliper setups to get maximum force to the brakes.
