Toyota Tacomas have an extremely low hanging fuel tank, making it vulnerable to take a hit or cause you to high center on a trail. Protect your investment with an RCI Tacoma gas tank skid, the ultimate defense for all on and off-road hazards.
This Tacoma Gas Tank Skid is built with your choice of laser cut 3/16” steel, or 1/4” aluminum, this plate is custom fit to protect the fuel tank of all 4th and 5th Gen 4runners as well as GX470 and GX460 with premium quality, fit and finish.
1/4” Aluminum- Excellent all around protection for daily driven vehicles, substantially stronger than factory skid plates, rust and corrosion resistant means they require no finish prior to installation, extremely lightweight yet strong.
Heavy Duty 3/16″ Steel- Great for those who need true heavy duty protection, perfect for use on rugged and rocky terrain. Combined with our heavy duty black powder coat finish, these provide unmatched aesthetic appearance and corrosion protection.

Dobinsons Front IFS Diff Drop Kit | Toyota and Lexus Trucks & SUV’s
- Suits 2005-23 Toyota Tacoma, 2003-2024 4Runner, 2007-16 FJ Cruiser, Lexus GX470, GX460
- Keeps CV angles at a good working angle
- Suitable for lifts over 2.0″. There’s really no benefit to adding them if there’s less lift than 2.0″
- Includes all necessary hardware, including machined spacers and nuts/bolts
- Includes 2 different lengths of the long bolts as some vehicles need them longer than others
- Compliments Dobinsons 3″ lifts for IFS Toyota and Lexus vehicles
- Simply remove the front skid plate, remove the 2 long bolts at the front of the diff, install the spacers and long bolts supplied, install the skid plate spacers and longer bolts supplied while reinstalling the skid plate
- Note: Some aftermarket skid plates have spacers built-in so the small spacers aren’t necessary, and some skid plates may use larger bolts to install it to the vehicle, requiring modification to the supplied spacers
