Overview
Powerbrake D-Line High Performance 4Runner Brake upgrade Rotor and Pad Kits are engineered in South Africa from the ground up to improve brake performance and reduce brake fade on your 4×4 vehicle. While our D-Line rotor and pad kits are our entry-level brake upgrade option for 4×4 vehicles, they will delivery considerable performance advantages at a relatively affordable price point. Powerbrake have sold tens of thousands of the matched rotor and pad upgrade kits since their launch in 2004 and the number of customers that have returned time and time again for these kits after fitting their first kit to their vehicle speaks to the performance of the product. While Powerbrake are always happy to see new customers fitting the D-Line kits, it is the number of return customers that they like to see the most. Powerbrake have many customers that immediately order a Powerbrake rotor and pad kit each time they purchase a new vehicle.

The PB05 Upgraded Brake Pad Compound
The PB05 brake pad compound is in our opinion the very best brake pad compound on the world market for 4WD trucks and overland vehicles. This ultra-high-performance friction material offers a large step up in performance and fade resistance over the OEM and
other aftermarket pad manufacturers. Stopping power, pedal feel and modulation are simply unmatched. PB05 brake pads will also give good mileage and have been formulated & tested to work with our D-Line rotors.
Disc Maximum Temperature Recording (MTR) System
Unique to Powerbrake, brake discs feature our MTR system that provide a permanent record of the peak operating temperature reached by the discs. This information is extremely valuable when selecting correct pad compounds for your application. The thermal-paint tabs are applied to the outside diameter of all discs (on both the inboard and outboard disc plates).
Each single-change paint color (4-levels: Blue, Green, Orange and Pink) changes to white when a specific temperature is reached, hereby providing a record of the peak operating temperature of the disc. We also add a multi-change paint that can be used with a provided color gradient chart to further refine the results to a more specific temperature. The simple information required to interpret the results recorded by the MTR system on our 4×4 discs is provided in the instruction manual that accompanies every D-Line brake kit.
