Have you upgraded your suspension and are noticing a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle? That noise could be coil slap. A coil spring noise can be Coil Slap, coil slap is a noise that some people get when the coil spring opens or closes.  In that tightly wound spot of the coil, you can place one of these silencers to prevent that metal on metal sound, sometimes referred to as a clunk, or just noisy coil springs in general.  Many OEM coils have a similar type of thing installed, and they can be very difficult to remove from the OEM coil and replace onto the new coil (that should be done every time), but they can sometimes break or tear when removing them.

Don’t forget, if your original coils already had these wrapped around those coils, they should be pulled off and applied to the new springs. They are usually glued or stuck on, so be careful when you go to remove them. You might need a heat gun to loosen up the adhesive.

Dobinsons make new coil spring silencers in 2 different sizes to correct this issue. On variable rate coil springs, you would put it closer up to the top where the coils are more closed, as this is probably where the noise is happening. These are made in 2 different sizes, so order appropriately based on what side ID your coil springs have.

Unfortunately we have just received the news that Dobinsons Spring & Suspension will be adjusting all prices on May 1st, 2025. This will be a significant Dobinsons price increase across the board for the majority of products they make. From what we can see, some items will stay at the same price, but there aren’t very many.

We advise everyone to consider purchasing NOW before the price increase so that you don’t get shocked on May 1st or later with the different pricing. All prices will be changed on May 1st, 2025, and no back dated pricing will be available from then on. Any backorders or orders placed prior to that date will receive that earlier pricing, even if it will be some time before the parts come in or ship out.

Everyone knows that tariffs have been put onto US importing companies for auto parts, and some countries have received additional tariffs as well. This combined with increased shipping demand from overseas has raised the price of shipping as well, so this is all snowballing into increased consumer prices for customers in the USA.

Hopefully the international tensions will drop so that prices won’t have to rise further in the future.

These are made from billet aluminum and are adjustable rear lower control arms, to be used on any vehicle lifted or not, up to 3″ of lift. This kit comes with both side lower arms and also includes Rubber bushings pressed into the arms, as they are maintenance and noise-free. Rubber bushings allow for greater flex (travel).  These adjustable arms will allow you to properly set your rear pinion angle due to adding a lift, while also adding strength over the stock arms. Suitable also for long travel rear suspension setups.

NOTE: The threaded end goes towards the frame end with the thread protector facing downwards.

Instructions for use: Set initial length to the same as factory arms, then check pinion angle, then adjust at 1/2″ increments until your pinion angle is set properly.  Adding too much length could lead to driveline vibrations.
